Major product evolutions in 2025

In 2025, Kuzzle reached a key milestone: structuring its product offering and asserting a clear, coherent, and use-case-driven vision.
This was not a year of feature accumulation, but a year of clarification—clarification of the offer, the messaging, and above all, the value delivered to end users.
A clearer product offering, aligned with field needs
Historically recognized for the robustness of its technical foundation, Kuzzle evolved its product offering to respond more directly to customer expectations: operational control, visibility, and decision-making.
The offering is now clearly structured around three complementary pillars:
- Kuzzle IoT, the IoT platform at the core of connected equipment monitoring, management, and supervision projects.
- Kuzzle Data, the new identity of Kuzzle Backend, designed to better reflect its central role in data management, structuring, and exploitation.
- Kuzzle Hypervision, the major new release of 2025, bringing together data, use cases, and business teams within a single operational view.
This evolution reflects a strong intention: moving from a purely technical approach to a resolutely business-oriented one—understandable and actionable.
From siloed solutions to a collaborative multi-business vision
One of the major turning points of 2025 lies in this paradigm shift.
Kuzzle moved from a single-business vision to a collaborative, multi-business approach that makes sense for both field teams and decision-makers.
Thanks to hypervision, data from heterogeneous sources is no longer isolated. It is contextualized, correlated, and presented in a readable way, enabling fast and informed decision-making, regardless of the business role involved.
A more powerful platform, designed for the ecosystem
2025 also marked the transition to a new version of Kuzzle’s technical core—more powerful and more mature.
This technical evolution, intentionally discreet in terms of communication, was decisive in:
- improving overall platform performance,
- strengthening its ability to scale for larger projects,
- responding more precisely to the needs of our clients and partners (integrators, software vendors, manufacturers).
The objective remains the same: delivering a reliable, scalable, and open platform capable of fitting sustainably into complex business ecosystems.
A selection of projects delivered in 2025

In 2025, Kuzzle supported numerous clients across IoT & Data projects, spanning a wide range of sectors and contexts.
The projects presented below are only a selection, chosen to illustrate the key challenges addressed this year and the diversity of use cases covered by the platform.
Securing transport and fighting the grey market — Follower Products
In the transport and asset tracking sector, Follower Products faced critical challenges related to convoy security, protection of sensitive goods (tobacco, products exposed to the automotive grey market), and advanced traceability.
The platform enables:
-
real-time vehicle tracking,
-
an advanced positioning mode with highly precise geolocation (one position per second),
-
geofence management with entry, exit, and dwell alerts,
-
GPS route history analysis.
To combat the grey market, specific rules were implemented:
-
definition of authorized and restricted countries,
-
alerts when goods pass through unauthorized areas,
-
notifications when a package is opened, with country identification.
Kuzzle’s contribution
Follower Products initially relied on a test application for its GPS trackers, which had reached its limits in terms of UX, customization, and flexibility.
Kuzzle enabled the evolution toward a more ergonomic, configurable, and use-case-oriented solution, featuring enhanced alerting, advanced geofencing, and dynamic operational reports.
Hypervision and energy optimization — Côte-d’Or Department
Another flagship project of 2025 was the Smart Côte-d’Or program, led by the Côte-d’Or Departmental Council.
The challenge was ambitious: deploy a sovereign, interoperable, open-source energy optimization platform within 45 days, and present it to 500 mayors.
The Department relies on the Kuzzle Hypervision platform to manage the Henry Berger Departmental Center in Dijon:
-
200 sensors deployed across 8,200 m²,
-
6 monitored use cases: room occupancy, temperature, air quality, lighting, and heating control.
In the short term, the project will integrate energy fluid monitoring and photovoltaic production tracking.
Kuzzle was selected based on four key criteria:
-
an open-source solution ensuring digital sovereignty,
-
compliance with a very tight deployment schedule,
-
native interoperability, particularly with the building’s digital twin,
-
scalability, with future integration of artificial intelligence.
This demonstrator paves the way for scaling to 150 departmental buildings.
Different contexts, a shared approach
Although very different, these projects share the same requirement: solutions capable of adapting to complex environments, delivering measurable operational impact, and addressing sovereignty and business control challenges.
They represent only part of the projects delivered in 2025, but faithfully reflect Kuzzle’s field-driven approach.
A strong business and market dynamic in 2025

In 2025, Kuzzle’s momentum translated into a deliberate and progressive move upmarket in the projects it supported.
The year combined consolidation of existing clients, partners, and ongoing projects with a clear evolution in project scope. Use cases became more structured, more cross-functional, and more demanding in terms of operational impact.
More complex, more strategic projects
Projects delivered in 2025 showed a higher level of maturity.
Fewer isolated POCs, more long-term systems designed to integrate into existing ecosystems and address concrete challenges related to control, performance, and resilience.
This increase in project complexity resulted in:
-
multi-stakeholder, multi-business projects,
-
higher expectations around reliability, scalability, and security,
-
a strong demand for measurable return on investment.
ROI became the primary concern expressed by supported organizations, confirming a broader IoT & Data market trend.
Consolidated partnerships serving territories
On the ecosystem side, 2025 focused on consolidating key partnerships rather than multiplying collaborations.
This strategy proved particularly effective for connected territory projects, where complementary expertise is essential. Strengthened partnerships enabled more coherent, better-integrated solutions aligned with the operational realities of public and private stakeholders.
Sovereignty as a strong differentiator
As data control became increasingly critical, sovereignty emerged as a decisive selection criterion in 2025.
In this context, Kuzzle clearly stood out through its positioning:
-
a French company (R&D in Montpellier and French hosting),
-
an open-source technical foundation,
-
transparency, interoperability, and data reversibility.
This positioning resonates strongly with organizations seeking to maintain control over their infrastructure and data while pursuing sustainable digital projects.
